I am officially 29 weeks pregnant today. I had my doctors appointment yesterday. Everything is looking normal and healthy. So far, being 7 months pregnant, I have only gained 16 lbs. I am pretty pleased with that number and the doctor seems to be ok with it, too. I try and not eat like a crazy person just because I can say "oh, I'm pregnant." Baby is weighing about 3.5 lbs, too! Holy Cow!!! That makes me nervous. We may have a giant on our hands. Although, Lee weighed a little over 8 lbs. when he was born. I weighed a 7 lbs. 14 oz. So neither of us were exactly "small" babies. We didn't get an ultrasound picture this time because Baby wouldn't cooperate with us. She is already her father's child. haha!

I also had my glucose test yesterday and, since I am RH negative, I had my Rhogam shot. I got my test results back today and I PASSED my glucose test!! YAY! Such a relief.

I've been lucky and have had a really easy, normal, healthy pregnancy thus far. Although, recently I have been experiencing 2 weird "symptoms" of pregnancy. Not weird in the sense of not-normal because all pregnant women usually experience these things, but weird in the sense of just being weird :)

Problems: being unusually hot and swelling!!!! Take the following picture for example:

28 weeks - swollen feet!!
I don't necessarily have "cankles," but my ankles and feet have swollen a lot! And the heat flashes! Oh my lands!! This is just the weirdest thing to me because normally I am a very cold natured person. Two nights ago we slept with the windows open and put a fan in the window. Neither of us knew that it was supposed to drop to 38 degrees that night!!!!!! 38 seems very cold to the average Joe. 38 was cold to my poor husband. But at 38 degrees I was smoking hot! LOL. I'm glad I don't have to be pregnant through the entire summer, especially during the hottest parts of summer.

Along with having a doctors appointment yesterday, we also completed the nursery!!!! It's magical. Here are some pictures: (theme: Princess and the Frog Prince)

Crib, Canopy, and Princess mirror

I love precious little coat racks for kids

And there you have it... Now we play the waiting game.

  1. So cute! Love your theme Heather :)

  2. Heather, everything looks so adorable. Awesome job, girl! I especially love the canopy. :)

  3. I love this purple! But, my favorite part is the sweet pics of your moms holding you as babies. What a wonderful picture to have. Sweet Ruth is going to be so loved and I can't wait to meet her.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a little peek into my life. I'd love to hear from you :)
